		<title>The Golden Ball</title>

&lt;p&gt;Sphaira, the golden ball that begins the fairytale – the emphatic moment
when the ball slots into waiting hands. This began life as part of an
interactive art project a friend designed – a gumball machine that
dispensed these large, wooden beads, engraved with whimsical and true
things. Mine says, in homage to Woody Guthrie, “This machine queers
fascists.”&lt;/p&gt;

		<title>The Heart of the Labyrinth</title>

&lt;em&gt;House of Theseus / House of Orpheus in the Paphos Archaeological Park, Cyprus&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A mosaic of the labyrinth, complete with Ariadne’s thread marking the
path. Ariadne, Theseus, the Minotaur, and the personifications of Crete
and the Labyrinth itself are clustered in the middle. Taken in the Spring
of 2019, at Paphos Archaeological Park on Cyprus.&lt;/p&gt;
